Won’t you help a neighbor? Join us for the annual Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive to support Arkansans in need! From Nov. 3 to Nov. 30, you’ll have the chance to donate new or gently used sweaters at libraries that are partnering with Arkansas PBS.
Join Arkansas PBS, in collaboration with the University of Arkansas Humanities Center, for a reception, free screening event and panel discussion celebrating the premiere of Ken Burns’s latest documentary, “The American Revolution,” on Tuesday, Nov. 4, starting at 5 p.m. at the Jim & Joyce Faulkner Performing Arts Center in Fayetteville!
Though Arkansas joined the Union as the 25th state in 1836, the land of Arkansas has an extensive history that existed before the American Revolution and statehood.
The 34th Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (HSDFF) is around the corner and Arkansas PBS is thrilled to be participating, supporting local and emerging filmmakers. Fall brings two of my favorite days at Arkansas PBS – our Family Day events in Central Arkansas and Northwest Arkansas! This year’s theme is “K is for Kindness!”
Mark your calendars! Arkansas PBS Family Day is back this fall, bringing families together for some laughter, learning and connection. Best of all – it’s free and open to everyone!
You’ll have two opportunities to join the fun: Saturday, Sept. 27, in Conway at the Arkansas PBS Studios and Saturday, Nov. 8, in Springdale at The Jones Center. Both events will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families are encouraged to RSVP at myarpbs.org/events.
At Arkansas PBS, we’re more than what you see on screen. Yes, we stream, post and broadcast – but we also step outside our Conway headquarters and into the heart of Arkansas communities. For nearly 60 years, we’ve worked as your neighbor, creating meaningful connections around stories that matter. Education is at the core of everything we do, and our commitment to outreach means bringing free, accessible events directly to the public because as public television, we’re nothing without the people we serve. Through community engagement, we don’t just meet Arkansans – we reflect them.
