Public invited to Arkansas PBS Family Day Nov. 8 in Springdale

Event to feature PBS KIDS characters, family activities, entertainment

CONWAY, Ark. (Arkansas PBS) — Arkansas PBS Family Day – a free public event that encourages community spirit through family-friendly fun, play and educational activities – will return to The Jones Center, 122 East Emma Ave. in Springdale, Saturday, Nov. 8, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Families are encouraged to RSVP at myarpbs.org/events.

This year’s theme is “’K’ for Kindness,” and the events will feature PBS KIDS costume characters including Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George and Daniel Tiger from “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” free healthy snacks for children, hands-on kids’ activities, crafts and games, story time, live music, giveaways and prizes.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to Northwest Arkansas Foodbank.
