From a snowy river overlook, to an icy waterfall, to a “snow float” – the beauty of an Ozark winter will be featured during the latest “Exploring Arkansas” episode Monday, Feb. 3, at 6:30 p.m.
Anvil Rock Overlook along the Mulberry River, north of Ozark, has a magnificent view as it is, but add snow cover to it and what you have is a view that’s beyond words. – That’s when a picture is really worth a thousand words. Hiking in the snow to reach this overlook was the other beauty that added to the adventure.
Crooked Creek near Harrison has been a long time favorite with anglers as a blue ribbon smallmouth bass stream. After a snowfall, another real neat experience is to float it and view winter waterfowl, as in a “snow float.” We teamed up with an old friend of ours, Dennis Whiteside, who’s one of the best stream guides around as far as the Arkansas and Missouri Ozarks. Here, again, braving the cold has its rewards.
So, join us for all the adventure on “Exploring Arkansas,” Monday, Feb. 3, at 6:30 p.m.!
