Carousel Restoration

Little Rock artist Becky Witsell has become an expert in historic restoration over the past 30 years, and her work can be seen all around Arkansas, including at the State Capitol, Lakeport plantation in Lake Village and the Old State House Museum. In this piece, Witsell explains the process of restoring the horses on the historic Over The Jumps Carousel at the Little Rock Zoo to their original colors and design.

Becky Witsell, who is featured in "Carousel," is the wife of Charles Witsell who served as an advisor on "Clean Lines, Open Spaces." After learning about the extensive renovation of the Over The Jumps Carousel, Producer Mark Wilcken was compelled by the detailed restoration process to do this short documentary.
