Friday Family Nights on AETN KIDS

There's lots of fun lined up for your family every Friday in August starting at 6 p.m. on the AETN PBS KIDS 24/7 channel (AETN 3). Tune in for one-hour specials followed by back-to-back episodes of favorite programs with "Arthur" Aug. 3, "Splash and Bubbles" Aug. 10, "Wild Kratts" Aug. 17 and "WordGirl" Aug. 27.

"Exploring Arkansas"

This month on "Exploring Arkansas" join host Chuck Dovish as he visits the Nature Conservancy's Bluffton Preserve near Clinton, a secret hideaway at Pogue Springs along North Sylamore Creek, Historic Cane Hill - which is home to 16 structures on the National Register of Historic Places - in Northwest Arkansas, and the Susie Q Malt Shop Drive-In in Rogers.

Tune in Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 6:30 p.m.

Beloved television and film legend Betty White - who celebrates 80 years in show business this year - officially boasts the longest career in the history of TV. Explore her roles both on-camera and as an industry pioneer in "First Lady of Television."

Back-to-School/Teacher Appreciation Night With the Travelers

AETN and the Arkansas Department of Education are proud to partner with the Arkansas Travelers to host a special night at Dickey-Stephens Park Thursday, Aug. 23. All educators who present their school ID will receive $3 off admission and a 10-percent gift shop discount.

Special Programming


Legendary detective Jules Maigret returns in a second season of the popular mystery series. Sifting through false identities, bizarre links and complicated histories, Maigret works to bring murderers to justice in "Maigret's Night at the Crossroads" and "Maigret in Montmartre."

Tune in Saturdays Aug. 18 and Aug. 25 at 8 each night.

AETN Passport Exclusive

"Frankie Drake Mysteries"

Set in 1920s Toronto, historical whodunit "Frankie Drake Mysteries" follows the fleet-footed adventure of Frankie Drake as she forms the city's first female detective agency. New episodes of the AETN Passport-exclusive program will be introduced weekly starting Monday, Aug. 20.
