CONWAY, Ark. (AETN) —The Union Pacific Foundation recently donated $10,000 to the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) Foundation to help support research, development and broadcast of locally focused programming in the state. This is the 17th year that the Union Pacific Foundation has provided a grant to public television in Arkansas.

“We are honored to have Union Pacific as such a long standing partner,” Arkansas PBS Foundaion Chief Operating Officer and Director of Development Mona Dixon said. “And we are gratified that Union Pacific recognizes the positive impact that public television programs and services make on the quality of life for Union Pacific employees and their families here in Arkansas.”

The Union Pacific Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Union Pacific Corporation and Union Pacific Railroad.

The Arkansas PBS Foundaion exists to raise the funds necessary to support AETN’s mission of enhancing lives through trusted public television programs and educational services. The Foundation provides Arkansans opportunities to connect with the only statewide public media outlet by becoming a financial donor, corporate or foundation partner, volunteer or by other means of giving. The Arkansas PBS Foundaion builds relationships between AETN, donors and viewers and is committed to being a transparent and accountable steward of private financial support.
