'The Cyberchase Movie' to air on AETN April 22

"The Cyberchase Movie," the first-ever film for the PBS KIDS series, will premiere Tuesday, April 22, at 4:30 p.m. on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN).

An eco-themed one-hour special, "The Cyberchase Movie" follows Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit as they are called on to rescue the animals and restore harmony to Ecotopia after Hacker and his bumbling robots wreak havoc. Environmental and math topics explored include natural habitats, the impact of habitat loss and proportional reasoning. Online at, three real-world "Cyberchase" games exploring the environmental topics of keystone species, waste reduction and solar power will debut for kids and families to print and play at home.

"The Cyberchase Movie" is part of the annual Explore the Outdoors campaign and partnership between PBS KIDS and the National Recreation and Park Association. The campaign encourages families to celebrate nature and the outdoors this spring.

PBS KIDS kicks off Earth Month Monday, April 7, with themed on-air programming and online and mobile content.
