Sneak preview of new Arkansas PBS film
to be held Nov. 4 at Kenda Drive-In with special guest Chuck Dovish
CONWAY, Ark. (Arkansas PBS) — Chuck Dovish showcases The Natural State from a bird’s-eye view in the all-new special “Exploring Arkansas From Above,” premiering Monday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. on Arkansas PBS and livestreaming at myarpbs.org/watchlive. A free, sneak preview of the film to be held Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Kenda Drive-In in Marshall will include a meet and greet with Dovish, free refreshments, giveaways and opportunities to support local programming.
“Anyone who appreciates and enjoys seeing the magnificent, natural beauty of the state will be awe-inspired, and taken aback by the splendor Arkansas has to offer from the air,” Dovish said. “Not only did we visit all regions of the state to capture well-known landmarks – we also returned throughout the year to document these sites through changing seasons.”
Utilizing a state-of-the-art cinematic drone, the special highlights unique rock formations, iconic landmarks, stunning waterfalls (frozen and unfrozen), magnificent waterways and popular scenic byways through all four seasons in Arkansas.

A free, sneak preview including most of “Exploring Arkansas From Above” will be held Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Kenda Drive-In, 107 Westwood Drive, Marshall. Gates open at 6 p.m. for a meet and greet with Dovish, and the screening will begin at 7:30.
During the premiere broadcast, Dovish will be live in studio sharing his experiences from filming this latest travelogue. Viewers will have the opportunity to make a donation during the program to receive “Exploring Arkansas From Above” t-shirts, unique notecards, DVD and photographic prints from the show. All items will also be available at myarpbs.org/EAFromAbove.
“Exploring Arkansas From Above” will also air Thursday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 4, at 10:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. An extended version will air Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 2:30 p.m.
