Posted 26 Jul 2017
'Joe Bonamassa: Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks' will premiere on the Arkansas Educational Television Network Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m.
This special features guitar hero Joe Bonamassa performing an exclusive concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater celebrating the music of blues legends Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf.
Beginning just before sundown, the concert highlights the natural beauty of the amphitheater and focuses primarily on the catalogs of Wolf and Waters. Wolf was one of the most influential Chicago bluesmen of all time, known for his deep, scratchy voice. Waters is considered the 'father of modern Chicago blues' and a major inspiration for the British blues explosion of the 1960s, a genre that Bonamassa grew up with and that influences his own music to this day.
The Arkansas PBS Foundaion has tickets available for Bonamassa's two tour stops in Arkansas later this year – Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville and Saturday, Dec. 2, at Verizon Arena in Little Rock. Tickets to each performance are available for a donation of $250 for a floor ticket with meet and greet pass or $150 for floor seating only. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Additional information and ticket reservation forms are available at aetnfoundation.org/boxoffice or by calling 1-800-662-2386.
These tickets are a fundraiser for the Arkansas PBS Foundaion, and all proceeds will support programming on AETN, Arkansas's PBS affiliate and only statewide public service media network.
'Joe Bonamassa: Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks' will repeat Saturday, Aug. 12, at 8:30 p.m.
