Lewis' life as an activist included lunch counter sit-ins, Freedom Rides, the 1963 March on Washington, and the 1965 Selma to Montgomery march that became known as "Bloody Sunday." "Barnes and … A Conversation With John Lewis" airs in two parts. Part one airs Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m. and repeats Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6:30 p.m. Part two, which also features Aydin and Powell, airs Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m. and repeats Thursday, Sept. 25, at 6:30 p.m.
Sam Taggart. Barnes receives a history lesson on 200 years of health and disease in Arkansas from Dr. Sam Taggart, a writer and family physician. Taggart, who collects the medical history on the state, details this research in his recent book, "The Public's Health: A Narrative History of Health and Disease in Arkansas." "Barnes and … A Conversation With Sam Taggart" airs Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 6:30 p.m. and repeats Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 6:30 p.m.
