Posted 25 Nov 2013

Dr. David Perlmutter, board-certified neurologist, Fellow of the American College of Nutrition and author of  "Grain Brain," will be live in the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) studios to discuss his program "BrainChange With David Perlmutter, M.D.," Monday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. The broadcast repeats Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 15, at 10 a.m.

Ubiquitous today, even in seemingly healthy foods, a range of specific proteins and sugars can pose significant risks to the highly sensitive human brain. In this special, Perlmutter explores the effects of wheat, sugar and carbohydrates on the human brain and offers a 30-day plan designed to help viewers achieve optimum health. "BrainChange With David Perlmutter" delivers an empowering message: the fate of our brains does not lie exclusively in our genes - it is heavily influenced by the food we eat.

In addition to detailing the daily habits and food choices that may be silently aggravating our nervous systems and laying the foundation for future brain ailments, Perlmutter informs audiences of steps they can take to prevent, treat and reverse a wide array of brain-related disorders by eliminating specific foods from their diets and making smarter lifestyle choices.
