Posted 26 Feb 2013

The Academy Award-winning series “Downton Abbey” provides viewers with a special behind-the-scenes episode, “Downton Abbey Revisited,” Sunday, Nov. 25, at 8 p.m. on the Arkansas PBS (AETN). The program will repeat at 9:30 p.m.

Fans awaiting the Jan. 6 premiere of “Downton Abbey: Season 3” may enjoy interviews with many of the series’ most popular actors – including Dame Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern, Hugh Bonneville, Dan Stevens, Michelle Dockery, Joanne Froggatt, Jim Carter and Siobhan Finneran – as they discuss favorite moments from seasons 1 and 2, their characters’ interactions, cast camaraderie, costuming and fashion.

The program’s creators, Julian Fellowes and Gareth Neame, reveal the series’ origins and vision. The creative team also releases rare, behind-the-scenes footage and tantalizing, exclusive sneak peeks of season 3. Hosted by devoted fan Angela Lansbury, “Downton Abbey Revisited” relives past seasons’ highlights and gives audiences exciting hints of what’s to come.

During the broadcast, supporters of the AETN Foundation will be given an opportunity to receive “Downton Abbey: Season 3” on DVD or Blu-ray before its release Jan. 29.

In addition to “Downton Abbey Revisited,” AETN will feature special rebroadcasts of prior seasons during the holiday season. “Downton Abbey: Season 1” will air in a Thanksgiving marathon, Thursday, Nov. 22, beginning at 6:30 p.m. “Downton Abbey: Season 2” will air on Sunday evenings throughout December.
