Posted 30 Nov 2017
"Christmas With Daniel O'Donnell" will premiere on the Arkansas Educational Television Network Saturday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m.
Irish singing sensation Daniel O'Donnell transports viewers to a winter wonderland in this new holiday special, performing yuletide carols, classic hymns and seasonal sing-a-long favorites. Performed before an enthusiastic audience at Dublin's Convention Centre, O'Donnell brings the spirit of the holiday season to life with theatrical sets, a talented cast of performers and even a sleigh drawn by two ponies.
Joining O'Donnell onstage to perform heartwarming Christmas songs is his singing partner of 36 years, Mary Duff, along with The Billie Barry Kids, the Kilkenny Presentation Choir directed by Veronica McCarron, the Rathdowney adult choir and the Daniel O'Donnell band. Together with his guests, O'Donnell performs seasonal favorites including a rendition of "Silent Night," the widely popular standard "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," the Rodgers and Hammerstein show tune "Edelweiss" from "The Sound of Music" and more.
