Celtic Woman celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a festival of fan favorites on the Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) Friday, Aug. 7, at 8 p.m.
Favorite performances featured in this special include: 'Shenandoah' and 'May It Be' from the very first time Celtic Woman took the stage at Dublin's Helix Theater; the unforgettable 'Danny Boy' and 'Newgrange' at County Meath's iconic Slane Castle; 'You Raise Me Up' and 'Amazing Grace' at County Wicklow's pristine Powerscourt House and Gardens; 'Dulaman' and 'Orinoco Flow' from South Bend, home of the University of Notre Dame; and the gorgeous 'Ave Maria,' performed at Atlanta's legendary Fox Theater.
Since their March 2005 American debut on public television, Celtic Woman has emerged as a spectacular commercial success and a genuine cultural phenomenon. The beloved ensemble's evocative, uplifting music has transcended national and cultural borders to touch the hearts of a devoted fan base that spans the globe.The AETN Foundation has a limited number of tickets available for 'Celtic Woman' at the Arkansas State University Convocation Center in Jonesboro Saturday, Oct. 24. All proceeds will help support public television programming in Arkansas.
'Celtic Woman Fan Favorites' will repeat Saturday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 8:30 p.m.
