Arkansas PBS > Engage > Pressroom > Bryant to visit AETN studios for 'I'll Have It My Way' Aug. 5
Posted 26 Jul 2017
Hattie Bryant will be live in the Arkansas PBS studios for the broadcast of her program 'I'll Have It My Way' Saturday, Aug. 5, at 6 p.m.
From this program viewers will learn things they can do to help them live fully, all the way to the end. The program explains that following a four-step plan now, while one is healthy, can minimize if not eliminate entirely, the pain, suffering, confusion and disagreements that can arise when end-of-life healthcare wishes are not clearly defined.
Breaking through the taboo of discussing death, Bryant shows viewers that they have choices. Inspired by the peaceful death her mother was almost denied, Bryant began gathering information from national experts in palliative care, geriatrics, oncology, bio-ethics, psychology and spirituality. 'I'll Have It My Way' presents the case for personal responsibility in the healthcare, legal and procedural decisions that everyone must make – if they are not to be made for them.
By making one's wishes known and communicating them effectively, the burden of making choices that will enable them to live their lives more fully to the end is removed from loved ones. 'I'll Have It My Way' provides information and a thought-provoking, four-step guide that takes viewers on a journey of discovery to learn what a life well-lived means to them.
