'Blue Suede Shoes: A Rockabilly Session' to air on AETN March 6

Posted 02 Mar 2017

'Blue Suede Shoes: A Rockabilly Session With Carl Perkins and Friends' will air on the Arkansas PBS Monday, March 6, at 7 p.m.

Filmed at London’s Limehouse Studios in front of a live audience in 1985, 'Blue Suede Shoes: A Rockabilly Session' features the legendary Carl Perkins alongside luminaries Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Dave Edmunds and Rosanne Cash.

Performing a selection of songs Perkins first introduced to the world in the 1950s, the musicians unite to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the rock 'n’ roll pioneer’s 'Blue Suede Shoes' – an instant classic that earned a place in the history books when it became the first million-seller to crossover from the country chart to the pop and R&B listings.

This newly enhanced presentation brings 'Blue Suede Shoes: A Rockabilly Session' to audiences in high definition for the first time.

'Blue Suede Shoes: A Rockabilly Session' will repeat Saturday, March 18, at 1:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 19, at 6 p.m.
