Posted 23 Jul 2019
"Men & Women of Distinction: Mike Beebe" will premiere on the Arkansas Educational Television Network Thursday, Aug. 29, at 7 p.m.
A product of Arkansas, the Honorable Mike Beebe was born in a tar paper shack in Amagon. Beebe rose from his humble beginnings to practice law in Searcy and run for Arkansas Senate - where he was first elected in 1981 and served for 20 years - followed by successful runs for attorney general (2003-2007) and, finally, governor (2007-2015).
AETN, in partnership with the Arkansas Cinema Society, will host a screening of "Men & Women of Distinction: Mike Beebe" during Filmland, Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 6:30 p.m., at the Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave., Little Rock.
A reception will precede the film at 5 p.m., and an after-party will follow the film.
