Arkansas PBS > Engage > Pressroom > AETN to air 'Doc Martin: Legend of the Cloutie' March 10
Posted 09 Mar 2016
The Arkansas Educational Television Network will air 'Doc Martin: Legend of the Cloutie' Thursday, March 10, at 9 p.m.
After 'Doc Martin: The Movie,' but before there was 'Doc Martin' the series, there was 'Doc Martin and the Legend of the Cloutie.' The Doc (Martin Clunes) is in need of some distance from the small village of Port Isaac, so when the local real estate agent shows him the ramshackle, middle-of-nowhere property Tregrunnt Farm, it's love at first sight. Unfortunately, the Bowden family from London also has their eye on the property for holiday cottages.
Doc decides to spook the family into leaving with the help of the legendary Beast of Bodmin. Increasingly desperate to buy the property, he resorts to an old Cornish witch's trick, a cloutie – a small ribbon of cloth, which if attached to a tree and wished upon will make wishes come true. But, the caster of the spell must beware – what one wishes for will come back threefold.
'Doc Martin' airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on AETN
