Posted 12 Jul 2013

Children participating in this camp will gain hands-on experience in finding their voice, visiting with editors and authors using Skype and reporting their findings. Campers will work collaboratively in small groups for their final project, an online newspaper. Activities will include journaling, drama and technology using a variety of PBS resources. Community partners include 501 Magazine, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the Arkansas Attorney General, Conway Police Department and others.

Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday. AETN’s state-of-the-art training facilities will enable children to take a hands-on approach to learning.

The cost for the five day camp is $149, which includes instruction, t-shirt, meals and snacks. Space is limited. Additional information is available by contacting Karen Walker at kwalker@aetn.org or 800-662-2386.
