Posted 26 Feb 2013

The Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) Foundation will host a special reception honoring the award-winning “Masterpiece” series “Downton Abbey” Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m. at Argenta Community Theater, 405 Main Street, North Little Rock. The reception will be followed by a screening of the first hour of “Downton Abbey: Series 3.”

The evening will include a Jazz Age cocktail reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres, a period costume contest and door prizes. Costumes are strongly encouraged but not required.

Tickets, available on a first come, first served basis, are $25 for members of the Arkansas PBS Foundaion and $30 for non-members. Additional information and ticket reservation forms are available at aetnfoundation.org/boxoffice or by calling 1-800-662-2386.
This is a fundraising event for the Arkansas PBS Foundaion, and all proceeds will support programming on AETN, Arkansas's PBS affiliate and only statewide public service media network.

The event is sponsored, in part, by Glazer’s of Arkansas and Starving Artist Café.

“Downton Abbey: Series 3” will premiere Sunday, Jan. 6, at 9 p.m. on AETN. A screening of the first hour of “Downton Abbey: Season 3” will begin at 7:30 p.m. Limited seating is available for free screening only with RSVP.

The Arkansas PBS Foundaion exists to raise the funds necessary to support AETN’s mission of enhancing lives through trusted public television programs and educational services. The Foundation provides Arkansans opportunities to connect with the only statewide public media outlet by becoming a financial donor, corporate or foundation partner, volunteer, or by other means of giving. The Arkansas PBS Foundaion builds relationships between AETN, donors and viewers and is committed to being a transparent and accountable steward of private financial support.
