For 50 years the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has stood at the forefront of American music, delivering top 10 hits on both the pop and country charts, including their groundbreaking, Grammy Hall of Fame triple album, 'Will the Circle Be Unbroken' (1972) – a true mark on the American musical landscape. Tickets for the band's Sept. 22 concert at Reynolds Performance Hall on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway are currently available from the Arkansas Educational Television Network Foundation.
The concert will kick off the 2016-17 season at Reynolds and feature the original members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band – Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, Bob Carpenter and John McEuen.
The Arkansas PBS Foundaion has reserved 100 floor seats for a donation of $85 per ticket. Additionally, 20 tickets available for a $125 donation each include admission to the Arkansas PBS Foundaion's exclusive meet and greet party prior to the concert. These tickets are a fundraiser for the Arkansas PBS Foundaion, and all proceeds will support programming on AETN, Arkansas's PBS affiliate and only statewide public service media network.
Viewers interested in previewing the concert on AETN may watch 'Nitty Gritty Dirt Band: 50 Years And Circlin' Back' Monday, June 6, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m.
Filmed in Nashville's famed Ryman Auditorium, this concert celebrates the musical milestones of the band's amazing career in a string of hits performed with guests Vince Gill, Jackson Browne, Allison Krauss, Rodney Crowell, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jimmy Ibbotson, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas and Byron House.
