Arkansas PBS Foundaion issues matching gift challenge for #GivingTuesday Dec. 3

Posted 02 Dec 2019

The Arkansas Educational Television Network Foundation has issued a #GivingTuesday challenge: now through Tuesday, Dec. 3, for every dollar raised by the foundation, a group of generous donors will match it up to $20,000 to help AETN acquire programming in 2020.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

Contributions to AETN’s #GivingTuesday campaign will help support:

Donations of $5 or more per month ($60+ yearly) will qualify the donor for on-demand streaming of favorite PBS programs through AETN Passport.

Donors may support the programming they love through the Arkansas PBS Foundaion’s #GivingTuesday challenge by visiting aetn.org/givingtuesday or facebook.com/aetnfoundation. Facebook is also partnering with PayPal to match up to $7 million of #GivingTuesday contributions made through the social network to eligible nonprofits on Dec. 3.

All donations will support programming on AETN, Arkansas's PBS affiliate and only statewide public service media network.

The Arkansas PBS Foundaion exists to support AETN's mission of enhancing lives through trusted, multiplatform public media content and educational services. The Foundation provides Arkansans with opportunities to connect with Arkansas’s only statewide public media by becoming a financial donor, corporate or foundation partner, volunteer, or by other means of giving. The Arkansas PBS Foundaion builds and strengthens relationships between AETN, donors and audiences and is committed to being a transparent and accountable steward of private financial support.

The Arkansas Educational Television Network is Arkansas’s only statewide public media network, which enhances lives by providing lifelong learning opportunities for people from all walks of life. AETN delivers local, award-winning productions and classic, trusted PBS programs aimed at sharing Arkansas and the world with viewers through the distinct channels AETN PBS, AETN Create, AETN PBS KIDS, AETN World and AETN AIRS on SAP. Audiences can also watch on several digital platforms, and members with AETN Passport have extended on-demand access to a rich library of public television programming. AETN depends on the generosity of Arkansans and the State of Arkansas to continue offering quality programming. Additional information is available at aetn.org. AETN is broadcast on KETS (Little Rock), KEMV (Mountain View), KETG (Arkadelphia), KAFT (Fayetteville), KTEJ (Jonesboro) and KETZ (El Dorado).
