Arkansas PBS Foundaion challenged to add 7,500 new members

Posted 05 Oct 2017

The Arkansas PBS Foundation is excited to announce a generous gift from the Windgate Foundation.

The Arkansas PBS Foundaion will receive $100,000 to support local programming should 7,500 new members join by June 30, 2018. Donors are invited to challenge their friends and family members when they accept by sharing personal invitations, sending emails and posting on social media outlets using #AETNChallenge.

"Investing in AETN is one of the smartest decisions you can make for yourself and your family," AETN and Arkansas PBS Foundaion Executive Director Courtney Pledger said. "The educational programming AETN brings to all Arkansans through PBS and the Arkansas stories we are uniquely positioned to share have a life-changing impact on the people of our state. We thank the

Windgate Foundation for their generous grant - and gratefully accept the challenge!

"We look forward to welcoming new members to our AETN public media family."

There are many ways to become a member. Membership levels include:

Members who donate at least $60 annually or $5 or more monthly as an AETN Sustainer have extended, on-demand access to great public television programming with AETN Passport. AETN Passport provides donors access to current and archival programs from both PBS and AETN and is available via aetn.org, pbs.org and other digital platforms.

More information on the Arkansas PBS Foundaion New Member Challenge, including online signup, can be found at aetn.org/challenge.

The Foundation provides Arkansans opportunities to connect with the only statewide public media outlet by becoming a financial donor, corporate or foundation partner, volunteer, or by other means of giving. The Arkansas PBS Foundaion builds relationships between AETN, donors and viewers and is committed to being a transparent and accountable steward of private financial support.

The Arkansas PBS is Arkansas’s only statewide public media network, which enhances lives by providing lifelong learning opportunities for people from all walks of life. AETN delivers local, award-winning productions and classic, trusted PBS programs aimed at sharing Arkansas and the world with viewers through the distinct channels AETN PBS, AETN Create, AETN PBS KIDS, AETN World and AETN AIRS on SAP. Audiences can also watch on several digital platforms, and members with AETN Passport have extended on-demand access to a rich library of public television programming. AETN depends on the generosity of Arkansans and the State of Arkansas to continue offering quality programming. Additional information is available at aetn.org. AETN is broadcast on KETS (Little Rock), KEMV (Mountain View), KETG (Arkadelphia), KAFT (Fayetteville), KTEJ (Jonesboro) and KETZ (El Dorado).
