Posted 26 Feb 2013
Celtic Thunders Keith Harkin will perform a solo concert in the AETN studios Sunday, March 3, at 4 p.m. He will be joined by special guests Barry Kerry on pipes/whistles and Dave Bakey on guitar.
Celtic Thunder members George Donaldson and Neil Byrne will host a meet and greet for fans Thursday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. and be on-air guests during the broadcast of Mythology beginning at 9 p.m.
Celtic Thunder: Mythology is the latest show from Celtic Thunder. Filmed on location at the Helix Theater in Dublin, Mythology tells the story of the Celtic people, their legends, their culture and their history. Like the Celts, Mythology is bold, challenging, strong, proud and steeped in history. On the set of Mythology the old and the new combine, modern catalyst images are projected onto ancient standing stones, a giant Celtic cross takes center stage and the tempo of the music is strongly echoed in the theatrical and moody lighting.
All six Celtic Thunder principals Neil Byrne of Ireland; Emmet Cahill of Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland; George Donaldson of Glasgow, Scotland; Keith Harkin of Derry, Northern Ireland; Ryan Kelly of Moy in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland; and Colm Keegan of Dublin, Ireland feature prominently in Mythology. This new performance includes haunting solo numbers, rousing ensembles and original tracks.
Tickets for Harkins performance are $50 each, and doors open at 3 p.m. Tickets to the Celtic Thunder meet and greet with Donaldson and Byrne are $50 each, and doors open at 6:30 p.m. The events will be held at AETN, 350 South Donaghey Avenue, Conway. Seating is limited. Proceeds will benefit the Arkansas PBS Foundaion. Tickets are available at aetnfoundation.org/boxoffice or by calling 800-662-2386.
