The Arkansas Educational Television Network Foundation Board has nominated officers for fiscal year 2017.
Five new members were elected to serve on the board:
The Arkansas PBS Foundaion Board recognized the retirement of Kay Bland of Paragould from the board. After many years of loyal service to the Foundation, she was honored with a resolution endorsed by the board.
The Arkansas PBS Foundaion Board also elected officers for FY2017. Officers include:
"It is thrilling to have five quality individuals with vision and passion for AETN and public media in Arkansas joining the Arkansas PBS Foundaion Board,” AETN and Arkansas PBS Foundaion Executive Director Allen Weatherly said. “Along with the elected leadership, we believe good things are ahead even in tight budget times.
“Dr. Beene has served on the board for several years and is the perfect person to lead the foundation for the next year."
Other board members are: Skip Holland of Fayetteville, Dan Farley of Little Rock, Philip Kaplan of Little Rock, Mike Rohrer of Conway and Ronnie Williams of Conway. The board is expected to add another member soon.
The Arkansas PBS Foundaion exists to raise the funds necessary to support AETN’s mission of enhancing lives through trusted public television programs and educational services.
