Posted 18 Jun 2013

The Arkansas Educational Television Network (AETN) will present "Get In: Connecting to Affordable Health Insurance" Thursday, June 27, at 7 p.m.

"Get In" focuses on recent, widespread changes to health insurance and the new options and benefits now offered to policy holders across the state. To help individuals become more aware of available benefits, this program will introduce viewers to the Arkansas Health Connector and detail how they may participate in it. Additionally, the program will provide insight into how the new health care law will affect business owners and their employees, and viewers will learn how they may qualify to have their premiums paid.

Among panelists participating in the discussion will be: Dr. Joe Thompson, Arkansas Surgeon General; Jay Bradford, commissioner, Arkansas Insurance Department; Cindy Crone, director, Arkansas Insurance Department Arkansas Health Connector Division; Bruce Donaldson, producer specialist, Arkansas Insurance Department Arkansas Health Connector Division. Steve Barnes hosts.

"Get In: Connecting to Affordable Health Insurance" is underwritten in part by a grant from the University of Arkansas Partners for Inclusive Communities and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
