Arkansas PBS is stepping up in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Education in response to COVID-19 to keep students learning. From supporting classroom content and sharing fun activities to providing professional development for educators, read on to find out how we’re supporting education for Arkansas parents and teachers below.

EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES FOR PARENTS

Keep learning fun with activities and games at myarkansaspbs.org/kids and pbskids.org, or with PBS KIDS apps for mobile devices. More ideas for parents are at myarkansaspbs.org/parentspbs.org/parents or pbslearningmedia.org. You can also sign up at myarkansaspbs.org/engage to receive updates, including a daily newsletter with learning opportunities for kids, and follow us on social media for daily kids and parents posts.

Arkansas PBS KIDS and Parents

Arkansas PBS is committed to helping kids throughout the state learn year-round both inside and outside the classroom. Learning resources and activities are available for free download at myarkansaspbs.org/kids and myarkansaspbs.org/parents.

Arkansas PBS KIDS Writers Contest

We are currently accepting entries for the 2020 Arkansas PBS KIDS Writers Contest, which promotes the advancement of children’s literacy skills through hands-on, active learning. The contest encourages children in grades K-3 to celebrate creativity by submitting their own original stories and illustrations. Entries will be judged on originality, creative expression, storytelling and integration of text and illustrations. Learn more at myarkansaspbs.org/writerscontest, and submit entries by Friday, April 17.

Arkansas PBS LearningMedia

Arkansas PBS LearningMedia (pbslearningmedia.org) offers instant access to high-quality preK-13+ educational resources, like on-demand video assets and interactive games.

ArkansasIDEAS connects K-12 educators with quality, ADE-approved professional development and educational opportunities, as well as a wide range of trainings on multiple platforms, thousands of classroom resources, and state and national initiatives.
