Each year, hundreds of individuals volunteer to support public media in Arkansas and on Thursday, May 25, Arkansas PBS Foundaion was thrilled to have the opportunity to recognize those who give so much to us at the “Red, White and You” Volunteer Appreciation Banquet.
In addition to an evening filled with food, fun and games, Arkansas PBS Foundaion recognized individuals who make our mission possible with honors including the Jane Krutz Volunteer Service Award, Volunteer of the Year, induction into the Arkansas PBS Foundaion’s Volunteer Hall of Fame, Rookie Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Group of the Year and Vendor of the Year.
2017 honorees were:
Jane Krutz Volunteer Service Award Winner Reba Luck
Reba Luck, of Conway, has volunteered at AETN since 2000.
Volunteers of the Year Brenda Dykes-Kelly and Wade Dykes
Brenda Dykes-Kelly and her son Wade Dykes of Conway shared this year’s recognition for their joint, dedicated work.

Adding to the event’s festivities was a silent auction to benefit the Arkansas PBS Foundaion’s Jane Krutz Volunteer Program Endowment, created in honor of Jane Krutz who served AETN as a volunteer for more than 45 years. The auction — which featured items and experience packages from a number of donors — raised proceeds totaling nearly $2,600.
