Watch high school students from across the state showcase their intellect in the annual Arkansas Governor’s Academic Competition “Arkansas Quiz Bowl 2021,” Saturday, April 24!

Since 1985, we’ve celebrated and recognized scholarship with “Quiz Bowl” and, this year, a total of 14 teams in seven conferences will take on the challenge for state titles and scholarship awards beginning at 9 a.m. and streaming at youtube.com/arkansaspbs.

The following teams will be featured in this year’s competition:

  • 1A – Haas Hall Rogers vs. Haas Hall Springdale
  • 2A – Life Way Christian (Centerton) vs. Haas Hall Bentonville
  • 7A – Fort Smith Southside vs. Bryant
  • 4A – Huntsville vs. Monticello
  • 5A – Morrilton vs. Vilonia
  • 3A – Haas Hall Fayetteville vs. Mountain View
  • 6A – Russellville vs. Lake Hamilton

“Quiz Bowl” matches feature a series of questions the requires players to display their knowledge in literature, math, science, history, art music and economics. Each match last approximately an hour and will also be available streaming on YouTube at bit.ly/arquizbowl2021.

We’ve worked closely with the Arkansas Governor’s Quiz Bowl Association (AGQBA) to provide a safe, healthy environment for teams, coaches and staff while maintaining the integrity of the competition during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re grateful to our friends at the Arkansas STEM Coalition for helping to make this year’s event possible by providing laptops.
