Watch, play, explore and share with your students: “Pinkalicious & Peterrific” are now a part of the PBS KIDS family! The new animated series, premiering on AETN Feb. 19, encourages children to explore the arts and express themselves creatively. Based on the best-selling picture book series, this new multi-platform program brings music, dance, theater, and visual arts to life through the adventures of Pinkalicious and her brother Peter.

Pinkalicious imagines creative possibilities everywhere she looks. She is an artist at heart – and like most creative people, she sees the world differently from others. This wonderful new series is part of a multi-platform media experience that also includes digital content for teachers and students.

Based on a comprehensive arts curriculum, “Pinkalicious & Peterrific,” can inspire children to think and express themselves creatively. Integrating the arts into children's everyday and school experiences has been shown to have a positive effect on academic outcomes, as well as in developing children's social and emotional skills. PBS LearningMedia offers classroom ready materials, including video excerpts from the series, lesson plans and take-home activities in the “Pinkalicious & Peterrific” collection to help teachers, students, and families explore four key areas of arts education: dance, drama, music, and visual arts.
