It's a new year and with the new year comes some great new programming from AETN and PBS!
Winter isn't over yet, but we're already excited for the spring.AETN and PBS have great new programming coming up this spring and we're going to give you a little preview.
AETN is proud to announce a whole new series of "Barnes and...A Conversation With" beginning Feb. 4 with Judge Robert L. Brown. This program will premiere on Friday, Feb. 4, at 6:30 p.m. Other programs will feature interviews with Jay Jennings, Jason Grumet and Dan Hurley.
In addition to the new "Barnes And...," "Exploring Arkansas" host Chuck Dovish will also premiere a new series featuring the unique wildlife refuges in Arkansas. This series will air beginning in March. We'll keep you updated for exact dates and times!
The following are new PBS programs.
"Wild Kratts" Monday-Friday at 4 p.m.
Pack a snack and a compass and head out with the energetic and enthusiastic creature adventuring brothers, Martin and Chris Kratt in each episode of "Wild Kratts."
"NOVA- Making Stuff" Wednesdays, Jan. 19-Feb.9 at 9 p.m.
What's in the lab today could be in your life tomorrow. Join "The New York Times" technology columnist David Pogue as he discovers how the "stuff" in our world is becoming stronger, smaller, cleaner and smarter.
"Pioneers of Television" Tuesdays, Jan. 18-Feb.8 at 8 p.m.
Where would TV be without "Star Trek," "Columbo," "Romper Room" and "Gunsmoke?" The series returns for a look at the inception of four popular genres: science fiction, crime dramas, local kids' TV and westerns.
"Black in America" Tuesdays, April 19-May 10 at 8 p.m.
Travel with Dr. Henry Louis Gates Jr. across Latin America to explore what happens when African and Hispanic worlds meet. Four-part series.
"Masterpiece: Upstairs/Downstairs" Sundays, April 10-24, at 9 p.m.
Fancy yourself "upstairs" or "downstairs?" Whatch Emmy Award-winning actress Jean Marsh reprise her role as Rose in the new three-part revival.
"Nature: Bears of the Last Frontier" Sundays, May 8-22, at 7 p.m.
Take a spin with adventurer and bear biologist Chris Morgan as he motorcycles deep into the Alaskan wild to explore the amazing resiliency and adaptability of bears through five dramatic ecosystems.
"American Experience: Freedom Riders" Monday, May 16 at 8 p.m.
Get on the bus with the civil-rights activists known as the Freedom Riders, who risked everything to bring the American public face to face with the challenge of correcting civil-rights inequities.
"National Memorial Day Concert" Sunday, May 29 at 8 p.m.
Salute the service and sacrifice of men and women in uniform with PBS at the annual "National Memorial Day Concert" from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.
