We've already kicked off a new school year and, starting Sept. 1, it will be time to start our new Fall 2014 AETN KIDS Schedule! To benefit our younger viewers, we’re adjusting our daytime AETN PBS KIDS schedule and introducing new shows.
We’ll continue to show our “double stacked” programs, but will adjust programming and timing to air more programs that better suit our younger viewers needs and preferences beginning Sept. 1. Check out the side-by-side programming schedules below to see the differences between our summer and fall line-ups.
Also great fun will be the introduction of a new show featuring long-time favorite characters - a new, thirty-minute “Sesame Street” program! Airing in the afternoons at 1, this bonus half-hour program will complement our regular, one-hour episodes of “Sesame Street,” which will continue to air on weekday mornings at 9 a.m.
And, popping up a little later this fall, is our newest program from The Fred Rogers Company, “Odd Squad.” This live action media property will follow two young government agents — Olive and Otto — who use math skills and collaboration to investigate weird and unusual phenomena, starting in November. Why are we excited about this program? On top of being tons of fun on a surface level, “Odd Squad” cleverly introduces early math concepts at a time when STEM education is proven to be incredibly important!
