Forced from her African home by a violent coup as a young girl, Korto Momolu held firm to her dreams to rise to the top of high fashion.

Korto Momolu Multiple Poses

Korto burst onto the scene on the reality series “Project Runway” and has never looked back. Since then, she has become a fixture at New York’s fashion week, and she continues to build on her desire to make couture available to all women.

Yet, far from the bright lights, Korto Momolu now knows that home is where the heart is — and her heart is in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Explore Korto’s story in a new episode of “Men & Women of Distinction” on Monday, Jan. 30, at 6:30 p.m. The episode will repeat Monday, Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m. A special reception, screening and fashion show with Korto Momlu will be held at the Arkansas Arts Center, 501 East 9th Street, Little Rock, Thursday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m. If you would like more information or to reserve seats, contact the Arkansas Arts Center at 501-372-4000.
