Celebrate Jackie Robinson’s legacy and Little Rock’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Opening Day Sunday, April 24, from 1-4 p.m. at Lamar Porter Field! From refreshments and games to a special screening of “Jackie Robinson,” there will be fun for the entire family as you get to know the RBI program and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Arkansas.

The public is also encouraged to donate new and used baseball equipment to the Breaking Barriers Sports Equipment Drive. The drive is accepting gently used and new equipment for all ages to benefit RBI and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Arkansas.

Lamar Porter Sports Complex, which is the RBI summer league’s home field, has been beautifully renovated and will be open for tours. Stay to watch the teams’ opening practices or, if you know young men ages 13-18, encourage them to join Little Rock RBI!

The junior league for ages 13-15 will practice from 2-4 p.m.
The senior league, for ages 16-18 will practice from 4-6 p.m.

Players can register at the field that day or online now at

All skill levels are welcome, and RBI Scholarships are available.
