“HIV/AIDS in Arkansas” airs Dec. 10

How is HIV/AIDS currently impacting Arkansas, and how can people maintain a quality life while living with HIV? A panel of experts will discuss in our annual program “HIV/AIDS in Arkansas” Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 6:30 p.m.

Additionally, our panelists will review how the virus is contracted and its signs and symptoms, as well as stigma, getting tested, the importance of receiving treatment, health care options and prevention.

Expert panel members include: Portia Knowlton, executive director of Arkansas AIDS Foundation; Cornelius Mabin, chief operating officer of The Living Affected Corporation; and Dr. Naveen Patil, medical director of the Arkansas Department of Health HIV/STD & Hepatitis Programs. Donna Terrell of KLRT FOX 16 will host the program.
