Help a child read to learn. Wow. What a big deal. (No more tricking your kiddies by spelling out words in front of them…the only down side). Find out how to help and tune in to Raising Arkansass Readers: The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, Thursday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. on AETN. The campaign was launched to get every third-grader reading at grade level by 2020. If you are an individual, school, business or community member, boy, do we have a plan for you!
The Campaign focuses on four main impact areas on grade-level reading:
Summer learning loss
Parent and community engagement
To support parents, communities and schools, AETN has partnered with the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation and Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families to present the one-hour program Raising Arkansas's Readers: The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, Thursday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m.
What do I do, you say? We have a plan for you. We have a program for you. We have a panel of experts to talk to you. If you are an individual, school, business or community member, we have ideas for you in each of the impact areas view our plan for you here. Its good stuff. Most is free-and-easy stuff. Fun stuff. "What do I do over the holidays with my kids?" stuff. Powerful stuff in the worlds of little, reading kiddie minds.
