I have to admit that I didn’t really know what to expect when I first applied for an internship here at AETN. In the past, I had worked internships where most of my duties consisted of getting coffee for whoever needed it and sorting stacks of paper for hours on end. AETN was different, at AETN I felt like I was actually on equal ground with the people I worked with and that I was actually helping to contribute.
During my time here I wrote multiple blog posts for both locally and nationally produced programs as well as assisted in promoting major events. I also learned quite a lot about both how to effectively and not effectively work in the world of marketing and communications, lessons that I’m sure will be invaluable to my future career path.
Overall my experience at AETN was a great one and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great starting point in looking for a career. My internship here gave me a great idea of what it would be like to work in the field of Marketing and Communications and I had a lot of fun as well.
Even though I entered with some uncertainty, I’m now leaving feeling more ready and confident than ever before.
