We can’t wait to show you what book we’ll be reading this Thursday at 10:30 a.m., during the live premiere of “GobbledyBook” on AETN’s Facebook page!

In the meantime, we thought we’d give you a heads-up on a cool craft you’ll need to play along at home. Follow the directions below to make your own fun, fiery dragon blower!

•Cardboard Tubes (tissue rolls)

•Construction Paper - red, yellow, green

•Cotton Pom Poms - red, yellow, green (four of each color for each blower)

•Wiggle Eyes (self-adhesive works best)

•Double-Sided Tape

•Tissue Paper or Party Streamers - red, yellow, orange

•Scissors (have an adult help with the cutting)

•Cut construction paper big enough to wrap around each tube.

•Cut streamers into 4-inch strips, then cut each strip in half. You will want six strips, two of each color.

•On one end of each strip, trim the sides to make a point.

•Tape one end of the construction paper to the tube and wrap the paper around until it slightly overlaps. Then, tape down the other end.

•Apply a small piece of double-sided tape to one end of the streamer. Insert the taped end of the streamer inside the tube. Repeat this step with each streamer strip.

•Apply wiggle eyes to pom poms (two eyes for each blower).

•Apply a small piece of double-sided tape to the end of the tube along the edge.

•Attach two pom poms for the dragon nostrils.

•Apply another small piece of double-sided tape to the opposite end, then attach the wiggle eye pom poms to the tape.

•Make the streamers move like fire by blowing into the opposite end of the tube.

And just like that, you’ve got your own dragon blower! Post a picture of yours using #GobbledyBook at, and don’t miss “GobbledyBook” this Thursday at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook.
