Friday Night Block Busters - PBS Arts Fall Festival 2016

Block off your calendars and let your friends know that staying in is the new going out, because your Friday nights will be booked for the foreseeable future! With an outstanding lineup through December, the PBS Arts Fall Festival is bringing everything from “Hamilton’s America” and Imelda Staunton in “Great Performances: Gypsy” to “Live From Lincoln Center: Lang Lang’s New York Rhapsody” and “Shakespeare Live! From the Royal Theater”!

The eight-part series of performing arts specials will air at 8 p.m. each week as part of AETN Arts Fridays, which provides Arkansans with world-class arts and culture programming, including locally produced series such as “AETN Presents” and “LOUPE” at 6:30 p.m. And you can look forward to these gems, ranging from documentary to concert to comedy and more!

“Hamilton’s America”

Follow the creation of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s pop culture Broadway phenomenon “Hamilton” and the history behind it in the premiere of “Hamilton’s America.” In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at Miranda’s life and the musical’s creation, interviews with Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, Nas, Questlove, Stephen Sondheim and more are featured.
