Join AETN for environmental, educational fun at Conway EcoFest on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Laurel Park!

We’ll be exploring the outdoors with fun activities — including making recyclable pots and planting seeds! We’ll also be introducing PBS KIDS’ newest program “Nature Cat.”

“Nature Cat” inspires kids to get outdoors and develop connections with the natural world. Its star is Fred, a house cat who dreams of exploring the great outdoors.

In every episode, after his family leaves for the day, Fred transforms into Nature Cat - a backyard explorer extraordinaire! But Nature Cat has one trouble: he’s still a house cat with no instincts for the great outdoors. Although he’s eager and enthusiastic, he’s sometimes intimidated by his adventures! Animal friends come to his aid as Nature Cat embarks on action-packed adventure that include exciting missions full of nature investigation, “aha” discovery moments and humor.

Inspired by research on the health and educational benefits of spending time outside, “Nature Cat” encourages families to go on their own outdoor adventures and get active! We and PBS kids are dedicated to using the power of media to foster curiosity and inspire them to explore their interested long after the screen is turned off. Through “nature Cat,” kids can get excited about the wonders of nature and parents can encourage health outdoor activities by modeling hands-on exploration!
