University art programs are as varied as the students who attend the school, so it's important to find the right program for you. If you're a high school student interested in pursuing a degree in art, then be sure to attend AETN's Portfolio Day 2011 on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at network headquarters located at 350 S. Donaghey in Conway.
Representatives of colleges and universities throughout the region will be on hand to review students' portfolios (so be sure to bring about 10-15 examples of your best work) and discuss programs and scholarship opportunities.
Participating colleges include:
Arkansas State University
Kansas City Art Institute
Memphis College of Art
University of Arkansas
AETN staff will be on hand to conduct facility tours, including video editing suites, throughout the day. Information will also be available on the THEA Foundation and the scholarships it provides. Parents and teachers are invited, but not required to attend.
This is a great opportunity for any high school senior interested in art, so you don't want to miss it.
