“Arkansans Ask: Foster Care”

May is National Foster Care Month, and there are more than 4,500 children in Arkansas’s foster care system. How does the system work and how can you become a foster parent, adopt or participate in a training program?

Expert guests from the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services for the Department of Human Services, The CALL, the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, Project Zero, the Arkansas Youth Advisory Board and Immerse Arkansas Thursday, May 17, at 7 p.m.

Guest panelists include: Mischa Martin, director of the Division of Child and Family Services for the Department of Human Services; Lauri Currier, executive director of The CALL; Joyce Warren, Sixth Judicial Circuit judge; Christie Erwin, executive director of Project Zero; Andrew Rowe, president of the Youth Advisory Board; and Eric Gilmore, executive director of Immerse Arkansas. Veteran journalist Steve Barnes will serve as host.
