More than 29 million adults in the United States are living with diabetes but, unfortunately, 25 percent of affected individuals aren’t even aware that they’re suffering from the condition, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

A panel of experts discusses the types of diabetes, as well as the symptoms, risks and management of the chronic disease in “Arkansans Ask: Diabetes” on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m.

Guests include: Dr. Appathurai Balamurugan, State Chronic Disease Director, Arkansas Department of Health; Rhonda Monfee, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, Conway Regional Health System; and Rachel Johnson, RN, Certified Diabetes Educator and Diabetes Nurse Coordinator, Arkansas Department of Health. Steve Barnes will serve as host.
