“Arkansans Ask” - Arkansas Department of Human Services

Get to know the direction and challenges facing the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS), and learn how they serve the state in a special new “Arkansans Ask” on Thursday, Aug. 4, at 7 p.m.

Guests, including Cindy Gillespie, director of DHS; Kelley Linck, chief of legislative and inter-governmental affairs; Mark White, DHS deputy director; Mary Franklin, director of the DHS Division of County Operations; and Mischa Martin, director of the DHS Division of Children and Family Services will join program host Lance Turner of Arkansas Business to discuss the agency’s work and answer viewer questions.

Prior to DHS Director Cindy Gillespie’s work in Arkansas, she served as a principal in the Washington, D.C., office of Dentons’ Public Policy and Regulation practice and a leader of the firm’s Health Policy and Health Insurance Exchange Teams. She was also a health care advisor to Mitt Romney.
