Football is getting back to its roots in 2021, and we’re ready to bring back AR PBS Sports to celebrate with the Arkansas Activities Association High School Football State Championships! We’re sharing live broadcasts of the state finals from War Memorial Stadium so that families and fans across The Natural State can enjoy all of the gridiron glory from home!
The current schedule of the Arkansas high school state finals, which will air live on AR PBS Sports, will feature the following 2A-7A games:
· 5A – Pulaski Academy (Little Rock) vs. White Hall: Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m.
· 6A – Greenwood vs. El Dorado: Saturday, Dec. 4, at noon.
· 7A – Bryant vs. Fayetteville: Saturday, Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m.
The remaining Arkansas high school football state finals will air live on AR PBS Sports at the following times:
· 2A – Friday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m.
· 3A – Saturday, Dec. 11, at noon.
· 4A – Saturday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m.
Throughout the state finals, AR PBS Sports will present profiles of outstanding student athletes from each division, as well as other special segments featuring: former Pulaski Academy Coach Kevin Kelley; Coach Demarcus Borum's KIPP Delta Blue Hornets of Helena-West Helena; the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff’s homecoming when Heavyweight Champion of the World Muhammed Ali made a special appearance; Lexi Jarrett’s sports broadcasting at Cross County High School in Cherry Valley, near Wynne; Hot Springs Junior Academy band instructor Lia LaFollette; the 1991 University of Central Arkansas Bears who claimed an undisputed National Championship; McCrory High School football with coaches Chris Kennon and Glen Campbell and their sons; and Fordyce High School football and the school’s COVID-19 vaccine stance.

You’ll be able to watch with us on our primary channel, AR PBS-1, over-the-air, on cable and on satellite. “AR PBS Sports,” created in partnership with the Arkansas Activities Association, is the home for high school state championships in Arkansas. Recognizing the vital role high school activities play in the education and development of young adults, “AR PBS Sports” connects families and communities statewide by featuring hometown athletes competing in the biggest games of the season. Under contract with the Arkansas Activities Association, Arkansas PBS will broadcast high school championship activities for football and basketball for classifications 1A-7A. In addition to creating viewing opportunities for those who may not be able to attend the games, “AR PBS Sports” enables talented young athletes to connect with college recruiters and potential scholarships.
