In December on “Agri Arkansas,” get to know the Arkansas Agriculture Department and The Southern Center for Agroecology, and take a look back at the show’s past four years in a new episode Thursday, Dec. 28, at 6:30 p.m.
December’s “Agri Arkansas” opens with a visit to the Arkansas Agriculture Department. Dedicated to the development and implementation of policies and programs for Arkansas agriculture and forestry, the department works to ensure safe food, fiber and forest products for the citizens of Arkansas and the nation. It also works to keep Arkansas farmers and ranchers competitive in the national and international markets.
We’ll also get to stop by the Southern Center for Agroecology to learn more about its classes on canning and preserving.
As we wrap up 2017, we’ll take the chance to look back at all four years of “Agri Arkansas” and look forward to the future.
To close the episode, Arkansas Agriculture Department Secretary Wes Ward will sit down with host Tony Brooks for a one-on-one discussion.
See it all in another celebration of agriculture in Arkansas Thursday, Dec. 28, at 6:30 p.m.
