Ted Ludwig trio

AETN Arts Fridays brings you three different sounds from all over this great planet….starting in Arkansas March 9 at 6:30 p.m., catch the brilliant Ted Ludwig Trio from Arkansas, Il Volo Takes Flight, rounding off with Celtic Thunder Voyage.  You can’t say ‘you never take me anywhere’ with AETN and PBS at the helm – we’ll take you from the Natural State to Italy to the Celtic beyond all in one night.

Ted Ludwig is a young virtuoso of the seven-string guitar. Hitting the Arkansas music scene from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, Ludwig plays a blend of traditional jazz and innovative improvisation with incredible skill. With clear lines back to his mentor, Hank Mackie, Ludwig holds melody and rhythm in place while adding solos and riffs of amazing brilliance.

Check out these 3 tenors with Il Volo Takes Flight – Italian heartthrobs, or the three “Teenage Tenors” showcase their vocal talent and showmanship at Detroit’s famed Opera House.  Check out a preview here.

Here’s a little bonus for you about Celtic Thunder…have you seen Keith Harkin’s new hairdo?  Better yet, have you heard him play (acoustic mind you) Tom Petty’s ‘Free fallin’?’ Oh my, it’s good stuff.  He is a talent and we were lucky enough to have him in our studios last night helping to support the quality programming AETN and PBS brings to you.  You won’t want to miss Celtic Thunder Voyage Friday night.  And, want to see them live this Fall?  They'll be back in Arkansas Nov. 15.  For details and tickets, visit the AETN Foundation.
