Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 from the Arkansas State Capitol

The Governor of the State of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson, is scheduled to speak at this observation of the 20th anniversary of 9-11.

The State of Arkansas, The Arkansas Department of Veteran Affairs, Arkansas Department of Public Safety, EngageAR, and the office of U.S. Senator John Boozman are partnering to recognize September 11 this year.

  The “9/11 Day of National Service” takes place each year on September 11th.  The Federal Agency known as AmeriCorps, through EngageAR, the State Service Commission, is charged with leading efforts across America to mobilize Americans of all ages to civically engage in tribute to the 2,983 men, women, and children who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Seven of them were from Arkansas.    Malissa Y.
